eOutcomes to launch across all Liverpool University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust sites
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is moving to launch electronic appointment outcome recording across its hospital sites, working alongside Intouch with Health. The electronic appointment outcome recording process will integrate with the Trust’s existing digital systems, delivering further operational efficiencies by automating and streamlining administrative processes.
The Trust will use Intouch with Health’s eOutcomes digital appointment outcome form at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital and Aintree University Hospital with HL7 integration.
“Electronic outcomes ensure that the patient record is accurate and that the patient advances to the next stage of their health journey.”
eOutcomes digitally records patient appointment outcomes, replacing paper, improving data capture and increasing clinic efficiency while supporting trusts on their journey to implementing fully electronic health records.
Designed to deliver quality improvement in healthcare settings by accurately capturing outcome and procedure codes, eOutcomes replaces paper outcome forms with an electronic appointment outcome form that is easy to use, accurate and updates the patient administration system.
“Intouch with Health is a valued strategic partner, who have been supporting the Trust with innovative patient-centric digital solutions for many years.”
Dr Jason Bincalar, Chief Information Officer at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The Trust is on a mission to improve patient safety and quality of care by removing paper records. We are going all out digital! Electronic outcomes ensure that the patient record is accurate and that the patient advances to the next stage of their health journey.
"The digital solution improves patient flow and provides significant environmental benefits. The digital transformation paves the way for Care Record Liverpool (CaRL), which sees an end to paper patient records. Intouch with Health is a valued strategic partner, who have been supporting the Trust with innovative patient-centric digital solutions for many years.”
Sharon Gater, Director of Account Services at Intouch with Health, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the team at Liverpool University Hospitals with electronic outpatient appointment outcome recording via eOutcomes across all its hospitals."
The Trust plans to launch with a pilot in the rheumatology department at Aintree University Hospital first, before rolling out across other clinics and the other hospital sites.
Intouch with Health has been supporting Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for the past 13 years, and we are delighted to continue offering our services with this new project, which enhances the digital patient flow pathway at the Trust.”
