Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust Go-Live

Intouch with Health is pleased to announce Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust has gone live with complete digital patient flow and digital check-in solutions at both hospitals.

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust offers an extensive range of services, including cancer, pathology, surgery, and gynaecology to over 490,000 people in south west London and north east Surrey. The Trust operates two busy general hospitals, Epsom Hospital and St Helier Hospital, and run services from other locations, including Sutton Hospital. The Trust is under an enormous £100 million makeover to improve the building facilities and improvements to their Outpatient Department at Epsom over the next three years.

As a phased project across both hospitals, starting in 2014 at St. Helier, both Epsom and St Helier are now live with the Flow Manager, Check-In, and Calling solutions. In February 2019, the Intouch Support Team also migrated St Helier over to a new server, further improving their digital infrastructure.

These three solutions will provide patients to both hospitals with the ability to check-in for their outpatient appointment using electronic kiosks, which will automatically check them into the Flow Manager and Calling systems, which will then ensure the patient flows effectively and efficiently through the various outpatient departments as required. As a result of this digital transformation, staff at both hospitals will have an accurate and real-time view of a patients’ location at any point in their journey, and the patient experience is improved by fast-tracking the check-in process, while also keeping them informed about the status of their clinic.
