Room & Resource Manager and software upgrade enhances LNWH digital outpatient project
London North West University Healthcare Trust (LNWH) has undergone a significant upgrade to its digital outpatient flow management software with the launch of Version 8 of the Intouch with Health Platform.
The upgrade further enhances the Trust’s use of pioneering digital technology to manage the delivery of outpatient care, with a strong focus on further strengthening the blended delivery of remote and in-hospital appointments through seamless PAS integration, using a single, digital dashboard.
The Trust is also launching Intouch with Health’s Room & Resource Manager module; a digital solution designed to help hospital staff efficiently manage available clinic rooms and resources using real-time data.
Louisa Hudson, project lead at Intouch with Health on this digital outpatient project, said: “The use of Room & Resource Manager at LNWH will help the trust maximise resources and room allocation, and ensure the efficient and timely use of space across outpatients.
“For example, staff can search available rooms, and a calendar highlights available slots automatically, and colour coded alerts inform staff of meeting room status in real-time.
“Streamlining clinic room and resource bookings using Room & Resource Manager uses digital innovation to simplify those time-consuming tasks that often take longer than necessary, and real-time updates allow available resources to be managed more efficiently and effectively.”
She added: “LNWH is one of the largest integrated care trusts in the country, providing hospital and community services to the people of Brent, Ealing, Harrow and beyond.
“More than 8,000 clinical and support staff serve a diverse population of approximately one million people, delivering community services across the three London boroughs, and providing acute hospital services at Central Middlesex, Ealing, Northwick Park and St Mark’s hospitals.
“The go-live went smoothly following careful planning and with the support of the trust’s IT department and dedicated project manager, and we look forward to supporting the team at LNWH with their ongoing digital transformation of outpatients.”
