The Princess Royal University Hospital launches Intouch Platform

Intouch with Health is delighted to announce The Princess Royal University Hospital is now live with the Intouch with Health patient journey platform.  Orpington Hospital will also be going live with the platform this week. Both sites are now part of the King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (as shown in the photo), which has used the Intouch platform for the last seven years.

Following the hugely successful go-live, The Princess Royal Hospital is now live with Intouch software solutions including; Check-in, Flow Manager, Calling and Wait Times, following the King's College Trust’s upgrade to Version 7 of the Intouch platform.

The platform has been embraced by both staff and patients. A patient commenting after checking in for their appointment said: “I knew where I was going when I arrived and it’s so nice to be able to know if the doctor is running late or on time”.

Established in 1840, King’s College Hospital was a former workhouse based on Portugal Street, Holborn, close to Lincoln’s Inn Fields. It was first used as a training facility for students at King's College London, but quickly developed into a major hospital for the area. Over the next 60 years, it became respected for both its medicine and teaching, and remains so to this day. In October 2013, the Trust acquired the Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough. This followed the dissolution of South London Healthcare NHS Trust (SLHT), who previously administered the hospital. In the same year the Trust took over responsibility for Orpington Hospital.

The Trust will continue go-live with The Orpington Hospital the week commencing 16th December 2019 with a completion of all departments in January 2020 at King’s College Hospital and the launch of Mobile in February 2020.
