Intouch to support East Cheshire NHS Trust transform outpatient clinics
Intouch with Health is delighted to announce confirmation of a fresh digital transformation project in the North West. Intouch with Health has been chosen by East Cheshire NHS Trust to help transform the patient journey, improve the patient experience, while also improving the clinical experience for staff working within the organisation, via the Intouch patient flow platform.
The Intouch patient flow platform will drive a digital transformation to improve operational productivity, reduce the burden on clinicians and staff, and allow a greater focus on patients.
East Cheshire NHS Trust is a community and acute trust serving a large population and their vision is to deliver the best care in the right place. East Cheshire have over 2,500 staff who work across the community settings and the three hospital sites.
This project will involve the installation of 11 check-in touch-screen kiosks, and 11 digital calling screens. The interactive kiosks allow patients to check-in for pre-booked outpatient appointments, ensuring an efficient, stress-free arrival at the hospital. The calling screens have been designed to improve patient flow and increase clinic efficiency by calling forward a patient electronically to their clinic room or sub wait area.
This project also sees the implementation of 8 software solutions, which all serve to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs and reduce administrative burdens for East Cheshire NHS Trust – while most importantly, improving the patient experience.
Mark Ogden, the trust’s Director of Finance, said: “We believe working with Intouch with Health will transform the way patients are booked into our Outpatient Clinics by minimising queuing, reducing duplication and ensuring there is good communication with patients regarding delays. This will both enhance the patient experience and benefit the Trust by releasing staff time and improving patient flow.”
The Intouch with Health projects team will integrate, install, test, and support this digital transformation at East Cheshire NHS Trust over the coming weeks ahead of the go-live launch date.
